Bubba Wallace ties career-high mark at Watkins Glen

Bubba Wallace and the No. 23 team are peaking at the right time in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.

An eighth-place effort at Watkins Glen in Sunday's Go Bowling at the Glen marked Wallace's fourth consecutive top-10 finish, tying Wallace's career-best for consecutive top-10 results.

Wallace last earned four straight top-10 results in 2022.

Sunday's race also marked Wallace's best finish at Watkins Glen and his first top-10 at the New York road course in his seventh start.

With finishes of seventh at Dover, first at Indianapolis, sixth at Iowa and eighth at Watkins Glen, Wallace has climbed from 13th to 11th in the regular season standings. He sits ninth on the playoff grid with two races remaining in the Cup Series regular season.

Sunday's result also gives Wallace double digit top-10 finishes for the fourth consecutive season. With 12 races remaining, he's on pace to break his career-best mark of 14 that was set in 2024.

Wallace is eight points behind Chris Buescher for a top-10 spot in the Cup Series standings as the circuit turns its attention towards Richmond Raceway on Saturday. His victory in the Brickyard 400 on July 27 locked up the second playoff berth of Wallace's Cup Series career.
