RacingAmerica.com Provides a New Online Destination for Race Fans
(Concord, N.C.): Racing America officially launches today to provide a new, expansive digital racing experience for fans of grassroots racing and NASCAR Cup Series teams.
Racing America – formerly called Speed51.com – will continue Speed51’s tradition of serving as the home of live, short track racing and has expanded to provide more live grassroots races, unique behind-the-scenes racing content and original stories for the sport’s core fans.
The site will also spotlight the day-to-day lives of race teams, from local short tracks to the SRX Superstar Racing Experience and all the way up to NASCAR Cup Series teams as they prepare to compete on tracks across the country. In addition, Racing America will provide fans with the ability to follow their local superstars and the development of the future stars, as well as follow their favorite Cup drivers when they return to compete at the grassroots level.
Racing America is owned by RTA Media Holdings, which is owned by the 13 member organizations of the Race Team Alliance.
“We are thrilled to immerse race fans more deeply into the sport they love and provide them with one platform to interact with grassroots racing and the NASCAR Cup Series teams,” said Colin Smith, president of RTA Media. “Today’s launch is just the beginning of the Racing America digital platform and we’re excited to share exciting news about programming, brand extensions and more in the future.”
Racing America launches with two official founding corporate partners in SRI Performance – the industry leader in providing consumers with racing and street performance products – and DoorDash – the nation's leading last-mile logistics platform. DoorDash is Racing America’s Official On-Demand Delivery Platform and SRI Performance is the Official Racing Parts Supplier. They join an existing pair of longtime Speed51.com corporate partners who will continue to support Racing America. RYNO becomes Racing America’s Official Online Classifieds Partner and 51FIFTY becomes the Official Apparel Provider.
Racing America previously announced that Matt Weaver, a longtime fixture in grassroots racing media, will serve as Editor in Chief. Weaver’s work will be featured across Racing America’s expansive editorial, multimedia, social media and email newsletter platforms. In addition to providing live event support at tracks, he will also provide extensive multiplatform coverage of the biggest storylines in motorsports while expanding Racing America’s reach across the grassroots community.
